Master's Message
My Brothers,

At the beginning of my term as Worshipful Master, one of the goals I wished for us to consider was two major fundraising events that would help us in our continuing struggle to maintain our temple and to increase our charitable giving. It looks like we may have a good one with our booth at the New Milford Village Fair Days. We are continuing to look for other projects. If you have any ideas please share them with us. I wish to make a special note of thanks to Brother Bill LeMoine for organizing many of our fund raising activities. Bill has been the central figure in all of our food fundraising events. Bill would be the first to say he’s had a lot of help (and he has!), but he is our leader and inspiration.

At the building of King Solomon’s Temple there were Fellow Craft, or Hewers, in the quarries and in the mountains.

Since the beginning of this year we have had a number of men approach us to express their interest in Masonry. We are very fortunate to initiate four new Brothers who to be raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on April 21. In addition, we have two candidates waiting to receive their EA Degree and along with two coming up for their FC Degree. It has been a very busy first half of the “spring season” with our degree work. Through March the Craft will have conducted three EA Degrees and Two FC Degrees. (Please note the Trestle Board for future Degrees planned) Another of our goals for St Peters # 21 is to maintain a positive momentum regarding our ritual. Our degree teams have continued to impress me with their efforts and the quality of their work. If you haven’t seen first hand I hope you will be able to in the near future. How good? I wouldn’t want to be considered less than Humble, but I can tell you that I’m very proud, and humbled to be associated with such a dedicated group of men.

Remember back to that time before you became a Rough Ashlar and consider the Fellow Craft in the quarries. And we, as a Masons, endeavoring to transform ourselves from the Rough Ashlar to a Perfect one. Unattainable, perhaps. Only One can be the judge of that. But certainly a worthy goal; this being our Masonic representation of the continuing process of improving of ourselves intellectually and morally.

God help and bless us all.

Fraternally yours,

Tim McMullin
